FEEDING PROGRAM LAUNCHED
The following photo essay depict scenes from the Rogelio DG Valdezotto Elementary School in Sitio Pudyot, Baloc, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija during the launching of a 6-month supplementary feeding project that will benefit 138 pupils and their mothers. The project is initiated by Model Lodge and Worshipful Master Bro. Marionito Guerrero in partnership with the Baloc Local Government Unit and the support of the Order of the Amaranth's Royal Court No. 31 led by Royal Patron Bro. Prudencio Elegado (who is a past master of the Lodge) and Royal Matron Sis. Luisa Elegado, the Order's District 5 led by District Deputy Grand Royal Matron Sis. Jennifer Abalos-Martinez, and the Cabanatuan Bodies of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rites led by Venerable Master Bro. Laverne Manangbao.

After the feeding project, Brother Marionito in behalf of Model Lodge No. 373 turned-over a ceiling fan to the school teachers [first photo below]. Brother Prudencio in behalf of the Lodge, the Order of the Amaranth, and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rites next turned-over a donation of P6,000.00 [last photo below] for the establishment of a safe water project in the school. Brother Laverne also promised to donate a water for the project which the Baloc Local Government Unit has also committed to support. The Parents-Teachers Association will also provide a counterpart to the project.
From Sitio Pudyot, Model Lodge next visited Bro. Antonio Pascual (Memorial Lodge No. 90) who has been a gracious supporter of the Lodge, then proceeded to Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija to visit the brethren of Apolinario Lodge No. 235.

MODEL LODGE HOSTS ORDER OF THE AMARANTH
No less than Grand Royal Matron Sis. Elenita David of the Order of the Amaranth's Grand Court of the Philippines came to orient the brethren and wives of Model Lodge about the Order's vision and program. The event [first photo] was held at the residence of Worshipful Master Bro. Marionito Guerrero who was a former Royal Matron of the Order, and was also attended by the Order's District 5 officers led by District Royal Matron Sis. Jenifer Martinez and District Royal Patron Bro. Val Santos who is a member of Model Lodge.
After the orientation, a mentoring session on the Third Degree of Masonry was conducted to the newly obligated brothers [second photo], followed by an orientation for the candidates (with their spouses) who are about to receive the First Degree of Masonry [third photo].

BOWLING 2011: THREE LOSSES BUT HAPPY ON DAY 1
Team Model Lodge lost 3 straight matches to powerhouses General Llanera Memorial Lodge No. 168, Cabanatuan Lodge No. 53, and Sta. Rosa Lodge No. 297 on the first day of the Masonic District RIII-D Inter-Lodge Bowling Tournament. But still, the brethren went home happy. They came to renew fraternal ties with other Lodges. Winning is but secondary.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Its bowling season again and Model Lodge, the reigning Masonic District RIII-D Class D champion, will have to defend its trophy or climb up higher the category ladder. So off to the Manrio Bowling Lanes in Cabanatuan City to shake off the rust and prepare for 4 days (July 17, 24, 31 & August 7) of intense bowling.

2011 BALER DISTRICT MEETING
It's off to Baler, Aurora again for Masonic District RIII-D's traditional meeting [first photo] during the installation rites for the Grand Lodge Inspector of the Manuel L. Quezon Memorial Lodge (MLQ) No. 262. The next day after the meeting, Model Lodge's delegation headed by Worshipful Master Bro. Marionito Guererro joined the District brethren in the annual mangrove planting project of MLQ No. 262 [second photo]. The trip was capped by bottle each of American whiskey, Chilean red wine, and German Riesling at Bro. Rafael Perez's place [third photo] on the way back to Nueva Ecija.

MORE TREES FOR CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AND MITIGATION
One hundred seedlings of narra and mahogany were recently turned-over by Model Lodge to the Rogelio DG Valdezotto Elementary School as part of of the Lodge's continuing work on climate change adaptation and mitigation. Aside from planting and donating seedlings, the Lodge is also contributing to the global work on climate change adaptation and mitigation through its incumbent secretary --- Bro. Shubert Ciencia --- who has been serving as an adviser and civil society representative to the Republic of the Philippines' delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Negotiations.
