That is for Bro. Prudencio J. Elegado, the first Master of Model Lodge, and his lovely wife Sister Eloisa who both stepped down as the Royal Matron and Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth's District 5.
A delegation from the Lodge and the Honored Ladies of the Order of the Amaranth's Model Royal Court No. 55 joined other Courts in Nueva Ecija during a fellowship night tendered for the outgoing and incoming officers of District 5 that was also graced by Past Grand Master Bro. Danilo D. Angeles.

MODEL LODGE UNDERGOES A MAKE-OVER
"Bahay nami'y // maliit lamang // pero pero pero malinis ito // kahit na kusina..."
With this line from a popular Eraserheads hit, Model Lodge's temporary Masonic Temple [which is just actually a work room behind a commercial building graciously loaned by the heirs of the late Bro. Antonio Pascual] was refurbished by the Lodge's Entered Apprentice Masons under the supervision of the Master of the Lodge.
The general cleaning cum Lodge improvement --- conducted after the Entered Apprentices' second session on the "Tried and Proven" lecture series --- saw the East and the Preparation Room draped with new curtains, dead clocks and forgotten tarpaulins resurrected, the symbols and signage of a Masonic temple arranged in the right order, and mementos from the past dusted and displayed.
After all, we are where we live said the Master of the Lodge.

TEAM 373 BIKING CLUB KICKS OFF!
The Master of the Lodge, the Junior Warden, and the Senior Deacon officially initiated the formation of the Lodge's Biking Club by purchasing their individual bikes.
The Biking Club is the first of the Lodge's three sporting events scheduled for this year that was crafted to encourage a more meaningful fellowship for the brethren aside from the usual practice.
With this innovation on the definition of a fellowship, the Lodge hopes to create a stronger fraternal tie among the brethren while taking care of their physical well being.
A tennis clinic and a gun safety seminar for the brethren and their wives are the other sporting events programmed to be conducted this year.

LET THE SUNSHINE IN!
A delegation from the brethren of Model Lodge recently visited Bro. Angelito E. Dela Cruz, the Lodge's Assistant Secretary, who was confined at the Premiere General Hospital for a battery of medical tests.
He is well and is now back and running.
The next day, another delegation plus some of the brethren's wives paid a visit to the grieving family of Bro. Rafael S. Perez --- the Lodge's Senior Deacon --- whose mother-in-law passed away.
In dark moments like these, a sunshine visit always bring light moments and helps lift the heavy heart...

A SUNSHINE VISIT TO PAST DDGM
Many don't know that Bro. Narciso "Boy" Nieto who recently retired as an undersecretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform was the Charter Senior Warden of Model Lodge.
He could have been the second Master of the Lodge had he not been appointed as the District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District R3-D in 2009.
The brethren of Model Lodge recently visited Brother Narciso in his farm in Buliran, San Antonio.
What was originally planned as a brief stop stretched into an all day session of sharing stories and updates from the District.
And the brethren are thankful for the Masonic wisdom they gained.
