TEE TIME AS DISTRICT HOST OPEN GOLF

The rain did come early but failed to dampen the enthusiasm of homegrown golfers as they took flight at the fairways of the Lakewood Golf and Country Club.

It was Masonic District RIII-D's Open Golf Tournament.

And as the rain went on and off, both golfers and non-golfers broke into causal huddles then come back for the dependable drawing power of the camera.

In the end, the golfers' spirit triumphed over nature as familiar fairway sounds announcing the flight of golf balls increased its resonance and the golf carts roll and umbrellas fold and unfold.

Model Lodge is among the many who supported the tournament.
